Q.What are the good conductors and non-conductors of heat? Explain with two examples of each.

Ans- 

Good Conductors - the materials which allows heat pass through them easily are called conductors.

For examples - iron ,copper, aluminium etc

Non conductors - Insulators do not allow heat to pass through them easily are called non conductor.

For example wool, wood, and plastic.

                                           

Q. What is the heat transfer? Explain the different modes of heat transfer in detail.

Ans - Flow of heat transfer one object to another object,there are three modes of heat transfer, conduction method, convection method and radiation method.

1.Conduction method - Conduction is the process by which heat energy is transmitted through collisions between neighboring atoms or molecules. 

2.Convection method - Convective heat transfer is the transfer of heat between two bodies by currents of moving gas and fluid.

3.Radiation method - The process of transfer of heat in the form of waves is called radiation.

Q.How do woollen clothes keep us warm in winter?

Ans -

Woollen clothes have fine pores which are filled with air and both wool and air are insulators of heat. They do not allow the heat to escape through them and keep us warm. So we wear woollen clothes in winter.
