Class - 7th standard chapter heat and temperature.

Some additional short answers   and questions from chapter -   heat and temperature.

......

Q. Between Celsius and Fahrenheit scales which one is more convenient to use? Why
Ans -
The Celsius scale is more convenient to use. Because the Celsius scale has hundred divisions in total.
Q. Which property of matter is used to measure temperature? Marter in which state is more commonly used.
Ans -
The property of matter most commonly used to measure temperature is thermal expansion.
Q. How do we feel warm in the sun.
Ans -
We feel warm in the sun because the sun emits infrared radiation, light is a electromagnetic wave that is absorbed by our skin, converting it into heat energy that we perceive as warmth.
Q. Among the different modes of heat transfer, which is the fastest one?
Ans -
The energy transferred by radiation modes with the speed of light . In radiation , heat is transferred by electromagnetic waves , which have the fastest speed , so it is the fastest mode of heat transmission.
Q.Which device is used in laboratory to measure temperature.
Ans -
laboratory thermometer is a device used to measure temperatures of an objects in laboratories for scientific research and other purposes.

Long additional answers and questions.

Q. What is a clinical thermometer? State its special feature. Draw a labelled neat diagram of a clinical thermometer showing the range of temperature marked on it.
Ans-
Doctors use a special thermometer called the clinical thermometer for measuring the temperature of the patient's body. This thermometer has the markings from 35  to 42 degree.
It has a slight bend or kink in the stem above the bulb. This kink is called the constriction. This constriction prevents the mercury from falling back all by itself. The temperature of a healthy person is

 Q. What is sea breeze and land breeze? Explain with help of diagram.
Ans-
The Sea Breeze develops along sea coasts or large inland water bodies in summer when the land heats much faster than the water on a clear day and a low pressure develops over the land. Under these conditions, in the day, the air blows from the sea to the land as there is high pressure on the sea and low pressure over the land. Below diagram explains the formation of sea breeze .
